The Hempfield School District’s special education department was awarded a Hempfield Foundation grant of $2,646 to create a special education lending library. The library is packed with intervention resources catering to academic, behavioral, and executive functioning needs. Teachers borrow from this invaluable resource as needed, and the impact has been incredible—extending support to all students.
Parents are noticing the positive effects too! One parent shared, “I’m noticing positive improvement at home—he is sounding out unknown words…and he is becoming confident doing so!” It’s heartwarming to see the ripple effect of support reaching both in and out of the classroom.
