The Hempfield School District’s gifted program has been awarded a Hempfield Foundation grant of $2,011 to create Makey Makey STEM Intervention Literacy Packs. The packs include circuit-based kits that connect everyday objects to computers, sparking student engagement with technology like never before! Students are delving into skills in the areas of creative thinking, problem solving, innovation, collaboration, and computational thinking.
Kari Miller, an educator involved, shared, “The grant has provided my students with the opportunity to explore STEM skills and foster creativity in their learning. I have been blown away by what they have created.”
It’s incredible to see how this grant is empowering students to unleash their full potential!
