The Hempfield Foundation is proud to support music education at Landisville Primary Center through a grant awarded to music teacher Kimberly Ernst! This grant has funded the purchase of six Orff Instruments—three Soprano Xylophones and three Alto Xylophones—offering young students an incredible opportunity to explore and develop their musical skills.
Access to barred instruments like xylophones provides a hands-on approach to learning music. These instruments will allow students to:
- Compose their own melodies and rhythms
- Perform as part of an ensemble, building confidence and collaboration
- Create through improvisation, sparking creativity
- Develop music literacy in an engaging, interactive way
By integrating these instruments into the classroom, students at Landisville Primary Center will experience music education in a more dynamic and meaningful way. The Hempfield Foundation is committed to enriching the learning experience for all students, and we are thrilled to support this initiative!
Thank you to Ms. Ernst for her dedication to music education and for bringing this exciting opportunity to her students. We can’t wait to hear the beautiful music they create!
